Minalav started inside the spreadsheets where India's renewable deals actually get decided, and was founded to replace them with something the transition deserves.

Why we exist

Every gigawatt of India's energy transition passes through a model: a sizing decision, a tariff bid, a bill forecast, a battery dispatch plan. For years those models lived in fragile spreadsheets, rebuilt from scratch for every deal, one banking-rule misread away from a mispriced bid.

Minalav was founded on the conviction that this decision layer deserves real software. Not a dashboard bolted onto old workflows, an engine that encodes the regulation, solves at hourly resolution, and answers in the meeting.

We started where the stakes are highest: sizing and financial modelling for storage-led renewable assets. Today the platform spans four engines across the value chain, and we are working with partners to push the same intelligence to the edge, into the battery-based energy management systems that will run the next generation of industrial energy.

Kaushik has spent the past five years at the intersection of renewable energy strategy, financial modelling and storage, first as a consultant advising renewable developers and investors on tenders, transactions and policy, then leading bid strategy, power modelling and M&A in-house at a leading renewable platform.

His work has shaped winning bids across 1.2 GWp of utility-scale RE and BESS tenders, and developed over 400 MWp of capacity for industrial customers.

Modelling power flows across renewable and battery assets for industrial houses, he kept arriving at the same conclusion: the battery is not a component of the system, it is becoming the system's brain. The economics of every RE asset increasingly depend on decisions made hour by hour, at the point where energy is stored.

Minalav was born out of that belief, to build the intelligence layer those decisions deserve, from the boardroom model down to the battery itself.
